1. Your account
- You must be 18 or over to create an account. Children use the app through a parent's account and under a parent's supervision.
- Keep your password and parent PIN private. You're responsible for what happens in your account, including purchases.
- Give a correct email address: we use it for sign-in, security alerts and the reports you choose.
2. What Education Quest is
Education Quest is practice for the 7+, 8+ and 11+ in maths, English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. Questions are written in the style of these tests, and progress reports and comparisons are a guide only.
Education Quest is independent. It is not made, approved or endorsed by any school, local authority, exam board or test publisher (such as GL Assessment, ISEB or CEM), and it doesn't use their questions. We can't promise any particular exam result.
3. Free plan and Premium
The app is free to download. The free plan includes the first world in each subject and two writing tasks. Premium unlocks every world, all mock papers and boss battles, the full writing desk and email reports, for up to 4 children on the same account, on any device where you sign in.
| Plan | Price | Renews |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | £9.99 | Every month, after a 7-day free trial |
| Exam countdown | £44.99 | Every 6 months |
| Yearly | £59.99 | Every year |
Prices are in pounds. In the app stores they include any VAT that applies; on our website the price shown is the full amount you pay. The price shown when you buy is the one that applies. If we change prices, existing subscribers will be told in advance (by Apple or Google, or by us by email for website subscriptions) and can cancel before the new price applies.
4. Free trial
The monthly plan starts with a 7-day free trial if you haven't had one before. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you'll be charged automatically. Free trials are limited to one per person (by Apple ID, Google account or, on our website, Education Quest account).
5. Payment and renewal
You can buy a subscription in one of these ways. Whichever you choose, Premium works on every device where you sign in to the same Education Quest account, so you only need one subscription.
- In the app: through the Apple App Store or Google Play, using your Apple ID or Google account. Their payment terms also apply. You'll be charged in the 24 hours before each renewal unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- On our website (where available): by card. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, through our subscription provider RevenueCat. We never see or store your full card details. You'll be charged at the start of each period (after any free trial), and you'll get a receipt by email.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
6. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time. Premium continues until the end of the period you've paid for, then stops renewing. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
- iPhone or iPad: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Education Quest › Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Play Store › your profile picture › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Education Quest › Cancel subscription.
- Website (card) subscriptions: sign in on our website, then Parent area › Subscription › Manage or cancel. You can also change your card or see receipts there.
For app store subscriptions, payments are taken by Apple or Google, so refunds are handled by them under their policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play's order history. For website subscriptions, email us at support@educationquest.co.uk and we'll look at every request fairly. If you were charged by mistake or Premium didn't work as described, we'll put it right or refund you.
Your legal rights as a consumer aren't affected. When you start a subscription, you ask for the digital content to be available straight away and agree that this means the usual 14-day cancellation right for digital content doesn't apply once it starts (on our website you confirm this with a tick box before paying). The free trial lets you try it first.
7. Fair use
Premium is for one household. An account can have up to 4 children, and up to 6 new children can be added in any 30 days. Please don't share your account with other families or resell access. We may suspend accounts that are clearly being shared or misused, after contacting you where we can.
8. Using the app properly
Please don't:
- copy, scrape, sell or publish our questions, explanations or other content, or use them to build another product;
- try to get round the PIN, subscriptions, limits or security, or access other people's accounts;
- reverse-engineer the app, overload our systems or use the app for anything unlawful;
- put inappropriate or other people's personal information into names or writing.
9. Our content
The app, questions, explanations, characters (including Pip), designs and text belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your family's own learning while you follow these terms. Writing your child creates in the app belongs to you.
We work hard to make every question and answer correct. If you spot a mistake, please tell us at support@educationquest.co.uk and we'll fix it.
10. Our responsibility to you
We'll provide the app with reasonable care and skill. We can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may change or improve features. If something goes wrong, we're responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, business losses, or exam results.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, or your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Parent area › Family & account › Delete account), which permanently deletes your children's profiles and progress. See Delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close an account without good reason, we'll refund any subscription period you haven't used.
12. Changes and the law
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts. If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@educationquest.co.uk and we'll try to put it right.
